Lots going on in Madison recently that make it feel like summer! Some fun festivals in the area that were so fun, including WORTStock, 
Vegan Sausage Fest, and of course Memorial Day weekend. WORTStock especially was a great time. Everyone was so kind and each person I met was just a lovely human. So happy I got to enjoy great music from local bands and see and meet some of our WORT DJs, staff, volunteers, and community. And truly what a great community WORT represents. I got to meet Julia who hosts Sound Affects which is on every other Tuesday a bit before Frog Moon here from 8 pm - 11pm and she has superb taste - if you like the music I play here on Frog moon you’ll love her show. I finally got to meet dj ciggy who hosts her infinite variety once a month, most recently this past Sunday 11:30 AM - 2 pm. I got to meet other hosts Wally and Billy, Henry, and so many more volunteers. You guys all rock.
If you missed WORTStock and want to stay up to date with WORT and local events and local shows that you might like based on listening to Frog moon, I recently added a calendar page that lists anything that might be interesting for you as far as local events! Mostly shows of bands that you might like, WORT events, but more as well! And of course you should already be checking out WORTfm.org’s calendar for tons of local events as well.
All those outdoor events certainly start to feel like summer! It’s not super hot yet but kinda perfect out right now. I’ve come to realize I have to enjoy this mild weather while it lasts because it seems like summer is becoming more and more unbearable with crazy heat these days. Maybe that’s just me since I tend to scorch and flatten into a crisp in the heat like a poor little frog without a pond in the sun.
It’s a new moon today meaning tomorrow’s playlist will be all new music! I do love these shows since I get to explore what’s new and there’s always so much to explore. It’s becoming harder and harder to narrow it down to 3 hours of music if you can believe it! I’m not sure if it’s a great season for new music or I’m getting better at finding new stuff but either way, I’m not complaining! Here's a teeny tiny taste of some new stuff featured on tomorrow night's show:
